The Wilmette Historical Museum is hosting the following exhibits:

  • The World’s Columbian Exposition
    Ends May 31, 2018

The 1893 World’s Fair, also called the World’s Columbian Exposition, was a thrilling experience for Chicago and the world. This exhibit showcases some of the museum’s fair memorabilia including original admission tickets, guide books, souvenirs and even a wonderful 1890s dress.

  • Over Here and Over There: Wilmette and Gross Point in WWI
    Ends December 31, 2018

This engrossing exhibit commemorates the centennial of the U.S. involvement in the First World War from 1917-1918. As young men from the adjoining villages of Wilmette and Gross Point eagerly enlisted and were trained and sent to the trenches in France, their families back home worked hard to show support. The exhibit highlights both battlefront and home front activities.
The museum is free and open Sunday-Thursday, 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. (Closed 12/22/17-1/1/18).
