Junior Historians Live! Roughin' It (Via ZOOM)
Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum
Have you ever wanted to learn more about life in the 1800s? If so, this exciting Junior Historians LIVE! event is for you.
Join the museum's Education Director, Heather Nice, and Illinois and Midwest Studies Historian, Dr. Jacob Friefeld, as we chat about what it was like to live 200 years ago. If weather permits, we’ll show you how to cook a “Mountain Man” breakfast casserole outside using coals and a Dutch Oven. If not, we’ll share objects from our collection that tie into the theme. This conversational event will not be recorded, so participants are invited to turn on their mics and chat with us, asking questions as we go.
This program is for grade school through high school students interested in learning more.
Free, advanced registration required. Save your seat here.
