Tom Wood, Archivist, University of Illinois Springfield (UIS), will present From Prairie to University, and provide a storied look back at the physical infrastructure development of the University. Dr. Megan Styles, assistant professor of environmental studies, will present on the history and social challenges of the sustainability movement, sustainable development and on sustainability initiatives at UIS.

Raymond and Pamela Bruzan, teachers, writers, environmentalists and community boosters from Rochester, will present Cotton, Violins, and Shots in the Night: A Timeline Visit to Rochester, Illinois. Presenting How the 6th Illinois Capitol Stayed in Springfield will be Mark Sorensen, Macon County Historian, former assistant director of the Illinois State Archives and past president of the Illinois State Historical Society.

Elizabeth Alexander and Nell Clay, board members of the Central Illinois African American History Museum, will share the vision of the city's newest cultural center as they present We Have a Dream: The Future of Springfield and Central Illinois African American History Museum. Dr. James Cornelius, Curator, Henry Horner Lincoln Collection, Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, will present Lincoln, Lost and Found: Mysteries and Wonders of Illinois' Lincoln Collection.

More than 25 historic Illinois churches and synagogues will be recognized and honored at a luncheon hosted by the Illinois State Historical Society on March 10, 2018. This event is a celebration of faith and community for Illinois houses of worship that have been in continuous fellowship for 150 years or more.
