“Mysterious Bard” to be screened at International Film Festival Illinois State Historical Society Elaine Evans / 1/5/2022 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM 0 1528 The ISHS produced video The Mysterious Bard of Sangamo, won a birth at the 30th annual Molly Schlich Independent International Film Festival, sponsored by the Springfield Art Association. The video is based on a two-act play written by ISHS director John Hallwas, and starring Victor Holstein, a Chicago-based actor, as poet John Hancock, whose residency in the “Sangamo Country” inspired more than 70 poems.
