Little Lincoln Fireside Tales

Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum

Little Lincoln Fireside Tales is a new children's literacy program for our youngest guests that's being launched by The Education Department of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum on January 28. Children 0 to 5 years old (Pre-K) are invited to join us every fourth Tuesday for Little Lincoln Fireside Tales story time, which includes arts and crafts, show and tell, and hands-on, engaging activities. Through the creation of this program, we hope to share Abraham Lincoln’s love of books and fondness for story telling by engaging with the community at this free monthly event.

To highlight January’s theme of “Snow,” we are reading Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats, Snowmen at Night by Caralyn Buehner, and Little Penguins by Cynthia Rylant. Arts and crafts include making paper snow globes, polar bear ears, and a snow man with their name.

The event and all activities are free of charge, but reservations are required.
