**POSTPONED** Edgewater Historical Society Annual Meeting, Program and Volunteer Fair
Edgewater Historical Society
**We will reschedule our speaker on the history of the lakefront for a later date and we will prepare a summary of the annual report to be posted on social media. The volunteer fair will also be rescheduled, but in the meantime, consider joining our fellow volunteers in the coming year. **
Join us, the Edgewater Historical Society, on Saturday March 21, for our Annual Meeting, Program and Volunteer Fair.
At the 10 a.m. meeting we will recap our past year and will be presenting candidates for your Board of Directors and plans for 2020-2021.
Our program speaker is Dennis McClendon, a Chicago historian and geographer, who makes his living drawing maps. His design firm, Chicago CartoGraphic, creates a wide variety of maps for the tourism industry and real estate firms, for books such as the AIA Guide to Chicago Architecture and the Encyclopedia of Chicago, the region’s CTA and Pace transit maps, as well as most Chicago-area bike maps. He is well known as an expert of the city’s built environment and transportation, quoted regularly on WTTW’s “Ask Geoffrey” and WBEZ’s Curious City.
After the program, enjoy refreshments, stop by our volunteer fair, and meet your EHS Board members to hear about volunteer opportunities: as museum docents, helping on the home tours, helping plan silent auctions and events, and other valuable museum activities.
This event is free and open to the public.
