Walk Edgewater: Edgewater’s North End

Edgewater Historical Society

Enjoy views of the historic buildings of Edgewater in our own unique outdoor museum. Edgewater has three historic districts, designated by the U.S. Department of the Interior, and many blocks filled with historic homes.

Edgewater includes three City of Chicago landmark buildings and some hidden gems in the area around Granville and Kenmore. Your tour guide has lived in the area for over 35 years and can tell you about the architecture and the changes. The walk is a little over a mile, beginning at Kenmore and Granville, and ending at the Colvin House on Thorndale and Sheridan.

Get coffee at Metropolis on Granville.

The tour is limited to 10 persons. Our tour guide, who will have microphones, will lead you through the tour, and share with you our researched brochure. Everyone must wear a face mask and practice social distancing. The fee is $15, which supports the Edgewater Historical Society Museum.

Register here.

Walk begins at:
Kenmore and Granville
