Junior Historians LIVE! "History Meets Hollywood"

Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum

Your junior historians will go behind the scenes for an interesting look at how the historical movies and TV shows we know and love are created during the ALPLM’s first edition of the Junior Historians LIVE! series for 2021.

In “History Meets Hollywood,” equine expert Dr. Karl Luthin, DVM will share his experiences of working on over 60 movies and mini-series. His company, KEL Productions, is based in Riverton, Illinois and has been involved with notable films such as Lincoln, The Patriot, Glory, and The Last Samurai. Dr. Luthin will share with students the experiences of his work on major motion pictures and the research that goes into ensuring historical accuracy. We've even included time for you to ask questions about his exciting work!
