Logan College Room The Genealogy Society of Southern Illinois invites the membership and general public to attend this presentation by Ed and Diane Annable. Notable authors of several books focused on Johnson and Union counties. The Civil War of 1861-1865 was one of the most devastating events that ever occurred in our great country. The North saw it as a “Rebellion,” while the South saw it as a second war of Independence similar to the American Revolution. Two legitimately based ideas, but who was right? Hindsight is the only gauge with which we have to measure the question of who was right and who was wrong? This presentation will involve only those events and occurrences that affected the people and soldiers of Johnson County. Join us Saturday February 12th on the campus of John A. Logan College. Due to COVID restriction please use parking lot D for parking. Use the Handcock Conference Center, Building F entrance, rooms F118 & F119. The presentation will begin at 10:00AM.
