Wednesday, October 26
Dr. Jenny Barker-Devine, professor of history and department chair at Illinois College, will present on Edward Beecher, a descendant of the Beecher family, whose generations of clergy, educators, authors and artists advocated for abolitionism, temperance, and women's rights.
Dr. Terrance Martin, researcher, archivist and emeritus curator of anthropology, Illinois State Mueseum, will present on New Philadelphia and African American Archaeology in Central Illinois.
