Haunted Belleville Walking Tour 2022: Into the Vortex

St. Clair County Historical Society

About this event

  • Join us as we go deeper into Belleville's haunted past with the fifth spine-tingling edition of our Haunted Belleville Walking Tour! This year, we’ll return to the Old Belleville Historic District. Ask anyone who‘s attended before—this is not to be missed! Unless, of course, you're scared of things that go "bump" in the night...

FAQs

Where does the tour start?

Tickets

  • $20/person. Tickets can be purchase here.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

  • Not really, but because of the time of some of the tours, this might be an event that adults and older kids would enjoy the most.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

  • Street parking is available on the south side of E. Washington St. and on S. Oak Street. Several city parking lots are nearby.
  • The #1 and #16 Metro Buses stop within 2 blocks of the museum. The Belleville MetroLink stop is a 10-minute walk from the museum.

How long is the walk?

  • The walk is approximately 3/4 of a mile.

Will restrooms be available?

  • Yes. Restrooms are available at the museum and a portable restroom will be available along the tour route.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

What's the refund policy?

  • We will gladly refund your ticket price up to 24 hours before the start time of your tour.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

  • You may do so, but showing it to us on your phone works, too.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

  • Transferrable to another tour time or date? No. To keep the group sizes manageable, your ticket is good for the date and time indicated thereon ONLY.
  • Transferrable to another person? Maybe. If you want to trade tickets with another attendee, you may do so, but this swap must be arranged between the two parties without the involvement of the STCCHS. Feel free to use the Discussion section of the Facebook event page to look for a possible counterparty for your trade.

Is the Historical Society saying that ghosts and the supernatural are real?

  • No. That is a metaphysical question. We're historians, not philosophers. The stories of the supernatural that you'll hear on the tour are presented for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY. The STCCHS, its staff, officers, directors, and members make no claims in the affirmative or negative regarding anything of a supernatural nature.
