Illinois Heritage Magazine
After nearly three decades in print, Illinois Heritage will publish its final issue in April 2026. In the coming months, selected articles, photographs, and features that once appeared in the magazine will be integrated into our website as part of a growing collection of accessible digital content about Illinois history.
We also have a long-term goal to digitize the full run of the magazine so that readers, researchers, and teachers can continue to explore these stories online. Donations are welcomed to help support the digitization of Illinois Heritage and ensure this valuable resource remains available for future generations.
